Love this, Brian! Great idea!!
Growing up on a farm, reuse wasn’t a philosophy, it was just life. You didn’t throw things away if they still had purpose. That’s why NOT JunkYard resonates with me. It brings that mindset into modern life, turning overlooked materials into creativity, community and a renewed appreciation for their history and value. Brian is the force behind this idea. I’ve known him for 30+ years and it’s been remarkable to see the consistency in everything he builds. He combines heart, vision, and relentless follow-through, creating companies that don’t just succeed but truly inspire people and communities. He brings his whole self to every project—seeing possibilities early and carrying them through to reality. This feels like a natural extension of who he is: thoughtful, bold, and driven by something bigger than the outcome. Projects like this are vital.
Sounds wayyy cool !! Would love to see this in action. I’ve spent lots of time scouring craigslist or fb marketplace for a certain item… but having it in a physical location, such a win win !
What a well thought out concept! Also, you have all the experience necessary to make it happen. Great work.
